Alan L. O'Neal serves as a WEA SCOPE building representative. He is a Social Studies teacher at SCOPE and has been teaching in Woodbridge for 10 years.

     Mr. O'Neal earned his BA degree in History from Bridgewater College and an LLD from Delaware Law School. He has a daughter - Rhiannon O'Neal, who also teaches in the Woodbridge School District and a son - Rhys O'Neal.

     Alan's hobbies are basketball refereeing, golfing, and reading.

     Mr. O'Neal accepted a leadership role because he believes strongly in the need to have a strong union to protect the staff from the "corporatization" and abuse of the education system.
